A Woman Dies At Burning Man On Opening Day







BLACK ROCK, Nevada (CelebrityAccess) — Police have launched an inquiry following the death of a woman at the Burning Man arts festival over the weekend.

A representative for the festival announced that Burning Man’s emergency services personnel responded to a report of an unresponsive individual on Sunday. Upon arrival, first responders employed life saving measures in an attempt to revive the individual, but those efforts were unsuccessful, the statement from festival organizers said.

“The safety and well-being of our staff and community are paramount. We are cooperating fully with local authorities as they investigate this incident. The Pershing County Sheriff’s office investigates all deaths that occur in its jurisdiction. Out of respect for the privacy of the grieving family, we will not be providing further details at this time,” the statement said.

According to CBS News, the Pershing County Sheriff’s office has launched an inquiry into the individual’s death.

“Deputies responded to the address provided and confirmed the death of a female participant,” the sheriff said in a statement. The office’s investigation into her death will remain open while an autopsy is conducted to determine the official cause and manner in which she died, he added. CBS News reached out to the Pershing County Sheriff’s Office for more information but has not received a response.

Burning Man 2024 takes place from Sun, Aug 25, 2024 to Mon, Sep 2, 2024.
